A Home Kitchen, Not a Laboratory
Let’s be honest with each other from the start: CookBookBite is a home cooking blog, written by passionate home cooks — not professional chefs, dietitians, or doctors. Every recipe here was developed and tested in our own home kitchens, with everyday equipment and ordinary supermarket ingredients. We cook the way you cook, and that’s exactly the point. But it also means our recipes carry the beautiful imperfections of real home cooking, so please always use your own judgement (and common sense) in the kitchen.
Not Professional Advice
Nothing on this site — recipes, tips, or otherwise — should be treated as professional nutritional, medical, or dietary advice. The nutritional information shown alongside our recipes is an estimate only, calculated with third-party tools from the listed ingredients. Real values can vary enormously depending on the brands you buy, how you measure, and the little tweaks you make along the way (and we fully encourage tweaking). If you have allergies, intolerances, diabetes, or any health condition, please talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet. Your health matters far more than any recipe.
Allergies and Food Safety
Please take allergies seriously in your own kitchen. We always try to flag common allergens like nuts, dairy, gluten, and eggs, but recipes evolve, ingredient labels change, and cross-contamination happens — especially in busy home kitchens. Always read your labels, keep your workspace clean, cook meats to safe temperatures, and when in doubt, leave it out. CookBookBite cannot be held responsible for allergic reactions or food-borne illness resulting from recipes prepared in your kitchen.
Affiliate Links and Advertising
To keep the lights on (and the butter stocked), CookBookBite takes part in affiliate programmes and displays advertising, including Google AdSense. That means some links on our site — for example to kitchen tools or ingredients we genuinely use and love — are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only ever recommend things we’d happily buy ourselves, and affiliate income never influences which recipes we publish or how we test them.
Use Your Judgement
Cooking involves heat, sharp objects, and the occasional dramatic flare-up — so please be careful. Never leave cooking unattended, keep little hands away from hot surfaces, and trust your senses: if something smells off, it probably is. By using CookBookBite you accept that you cook at your own risk, and we can’t be liable for mishaps, burnt dinners, or smoke-alarm symphonies. Cook joyfully — but cook safely.
